If you cannot install High Sierra at all, on any drive, I suspect this is a firmware issue. The main reason that you cannot install the preboot is caused by something (that Apple hasn’t figured it out yet) wrong with the APFS or Apple File System, the new file system that Apple is introducing in High Sierra to replace the 20-year-old file system or HFS+.

Unlike my experience on macOS High Sierra public beta 3, where I was able to boot a USB key installer and complete re-install from USB key, public beta 4 continued. 6 released 2020 but I am unable to see my SATA hard drive during the install process (in diskutil). 6 Raid-0 setup updated to (not clean install) MacOS High Sierra 10. I did the Sierra upgrade on a couple of MacPros 4,1 and it has worked excellently, after I did a firmware update patch to get it to read as a MacPro 5,1, so I am very optimistic on doing it again. They still have no solution to this problem. Why OWC need Apple to resolve this is a mystery to me. Install macOS High Sierra to your non-startup drive Launch the Installer from the Applications folder and press Continue.
